Women's Fellowship Group

cross and heart.jpgThis group loves to laugh and enjoy fellowship with each other. They pray and praise the Lord. They are studying "In the Potter's Hands". Right now they are watching the videos of Carole Wolaver, who is a potter and speaker. She has spoken at hundreds of churches and retreats. They also support various mission projects during the year. They meet from September through May in the Fireside room on the second Monday of the month at 6:45 p.m. except in September, December, and May when they meet in the Fellowship Hall at the church at 6:30 p.m. for special fellowship events.

Come join them for fun, praise, thanks, prayer and study. If you need a ride, call the leader Chris Manley. They would love to have you join them.

Circle Dorcas

faith 001.jpgCircle Dorcas meets in the Fireside Room at the church on the second Thursday of each month from October through May. The meetings are at 10 a.m., except in October and May when they meet at 11:00 a.m. for potluck luncheons.

They have a devotion and study during the meetings, and names are drawn for prayer partners. Praying for one another is an important part of their Circle. They are studying missions and missionaries.

They would love to have you join them. If you need a ride, call Mary Davison. They pray their Circle will be blessed with new members.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

shawl1.jpgThis ministry gives hand-knitted (or crocheted) shawls to people who have a need in their life. Each one who knits a shawl will be praying for the needs of the person who will receive it while they are knitting the shawl.

Those interested in knitting can get pattern directions from Cindy, and can also become involved in a once-a-month knitting circle on the 4th Monday from 6:30- 8:00 p.m. at Cindy's house. It will be a time to meet together with others who are knitting shawls and share, but also a time to learn to knit, or get help with your shawl.

Want to get involved, but don't know how to knit? Contact Cindy Pendegraft- she will teach you how. This will be a unique ministry opportunity to reach out with God's love in a personal way to others who need his healing, loving touch.

Women's Bible Study

bible study 003.jpgThis group meets weekly on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room and it is led by Joyce Smart. All women are invited to join this intermediate level study group. This year's study is on the book of Luke. We read a chapter from our selected study book and discuss it. There is no homework. Our goal is to gain insight into a deeper walk with the Lord. For more information, contact Joyce Smart.

Secret Sisters

my_secret_sister.jpgOur Secret Sister Ministry is for all our ladies 18 years and older.  At the beginning of the year, we gather to reveal our secret sister from the last year and draw new sisters.  What treasures we can discover and receive when we pray for someone else – even when we don’t EXACTLY know the needs of our sisters – God does, He blesses them with encouragement and strength and He does the same for us.
